One of a coach's worst fears going through spring practice is injuries and the Oregon State offensive line was hit hard. From knees to chests to shoulders it seemed like the players couldn't catch a break. Coach Mike Cavanaugh and his buffet busters trudged on though, but many of the questions at the start of the month still remain unanswered.

Fall Camp Preview - Offensive line

With the graduation of All-Pac-10 member Adam Koets and the expected arrival of junior college transfers Jon Ioane and Michael Cole in the spring there was much talk about the battle for left tackle. Unfortunately, Ioane and Cole failed to earn enough credits to graduate and transfer to Oregon State in April.

Cole to arrive in August w/dogfight mentality

FUTURE BEAVER Michael Cole packed up the car for the last time this weekend, coming home to the Beaver State from California's Foothill College. The former Lake Oswego standout is expected next month to compete for the starting left tackle spot on a veteran OSU offensive line. The 6-foot-7, 295-pounder says he'll arrive in Corvallis with an underdog mentality, intent on earning everything he gets.

Cole, Issac sign LOIs

Michael Cole of Foothill Junior College in California and Danzel Issac of Hillsborough Junior College in Florida have signed national letters of intent to play football at Oregon State University, Beaver head coach Mike Riley announced Thursday.
