FOXBORO, Mass. -- One day after releasing 10 players and trading another, the New England Patriots announced more moves to reach the NFL mandated 53-man limit. The team released 9 players, placed safety Tebucky Jones and linebacker Barry Gardner on IR, and moved FB Patrick Pass to the PUP list. The Patriots also added receiver Doug Gabriel via trade.

The Patriots first practice after their 26-23 loss to the Atlanta Falcons was more of the same on Monday. The team ran their regular assortment of individual, unit and team drills throughout the session. However, there was one wrinkle to schedule, rocker Jon Bon Jovi stopped in to say hi to Belichick and talk to some of the team.

The Patriots found a kicker to replace Adam Vinatieri. It is not a name many of the experts pegged to fill the role for the 2006 season. New England announced the signing of place kicker Martin Gramatica today. The team also announced the signing of former first-round draft pick safety Tebucky Jones today.
