Raiders release Brad Badger, Lance Johnstone

The Oakland Raiders released defensive end Lance Johnstone and offensive lineman Brad Badger on Friday. They also signed defensive back Kris Richard and defensive tackle Josh Shaw.

Terrell Owens might be there for the taking but Norv Turner and Al Davis apparently aren't ready to buy. On Wednesday, Turner downplayed reports the Raiders might be interested in trading for the suspended Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver.

There's No Place Like Home

At 2-4 the Raiders are perilously close to falling out of the playoff chase before November. If Oakland can't find a way to win on the road, beginning this Sunday in Tennessee, the postseason won't be a concern.

Brad Badger expected to start at LG

Brad Badger might be the nicest guy on Oakland's offensive line. He's also the most versatile. He's played both guard positions, has worked at center and long-snapper and has even lined up as a tight end at times this year.
