As a prelude to more work scheduled, they fired their defensive backfield coach, Ron Milus, who still had a year left on his contract. The team finished near the bottom of the NFL pack in passing yards allowed, and despite injuries, coach Tom Coughlin felt the decision to let Milus go was correct.
