Training camp consisted of 80+ players on the San Diego Chargers roster. With game three in the books, the team must trim their roster down to 65 players and NFLE roster exemptions Luke Butkus, Seth Burford and Scott Pospisil get a stay of execution. Twelve players must go and Saturday in Houston was the final day to make an impression. Sunday the Chargers were off, but management was hard at work figuring out who the twelve are that must go.

The preseason begins with Mike Scifres kicking off into the end about 4 yards deep and LeMarcus McDonald making the tackle on Maurice Morris. Unfortunately, the San Diego Chargers were penalized early on that very first play, an offsides call against the Bolts. The second kick landed at the 20 before bouncing past Morris to the 10 as McDonald again made the tackle this time at the 20.

With only one practice, Tuesday afternoon saw The San Diego Chargers in full gear. The pace started slowly then kicked in to high gear as soon as scrimmages commenced. With the stout defensive play the day before, Charger fans were anxious to see if the trend would continue...

There is nothing like the first full pad practice. Fans in attendance knew they were in for a treat. San Diego Chargers practice in Carson on Saturday delivered a high energy performance that left fans mouths watering for the start of the season. Sunday saw the team in full pads once again.
