Chargers place Jordan on IR, sign Speagle

Offensive tackle Leander Jordan will miss the remainder of the 2006 season after being placed on the "Reserve-Injured" list on Wednesday due to a neck injury. In his place, the San Diego Chargers signed former Browns linebacker Nick Speegle.

The San Diego Chargers made increasing their depth on the offensive line a priority so far this offseason. So far, the team has signed two linemen and one of those, Mike Goff, has already been penciled in as a starter at right guard – a position Phil Bogle manned most of last season. But Bogle isn't worried.

Chargers Sign Leander Jordan

The San Diego Chargers are starting to take small bites into free agency. Earlier today the Bolts signed Steve Foley and in the evening they added Leander Jordan, another former third round pick.
