Saints sign kicker John Kasay

The New Orleans Saints have re-signed veteran kicker John Kasay to a one-year contract, the team announced. Kasay set frnachise records with 147 total points and 63 extra points last season. He connected on 28 of 34 field goals, an 82.4 percent success rate. The 21-year veteran is a former Seattle Seahawks fourth-round pick from the University of Georgia back in 1991

Carolina counting on Kasay

The Carolina Panthers still think John Kasay can kick well into his 40s. That's why the Panthers handed Kasay a four-year contract extension on Wednesday. Kasay, who is 16-for-16 on field-goal attempts this year and has made 21 straight dating back to last season, is now under contract through the 2012 season, when he'll be 43 years old.
