Safties are "already clicking"

Strong safety Shaun Williams appears to be fitting in very well with the Panthers defense. Since his arrival, he's been working as the starting strong safety, playing alongside longtime starter Mike Minter, the team's free safety. Minter said even though the two have not played a game together yet, it feels a little like they've been working with each for years.

Giants shelve Williams

The Giants placed safety Shaun Williams, who had missed the previous five games with a pulled hamstring, on injured reserve. To fill Williams' spot on the active roster, the team signed offensive lineman Lewis Kelly off their practice squad.

The week against the Redskins, I thought we were focused, very physical, we knew that we had to stop the run first and foremost, and we were able to do that and we got turnovers, etc.
