FOXBORO, Mass. -- One day after releasing 10 players and trading another, the New England Patriots announced more moves to reach the NFL mandated 53-man limit. The team released 9 players, placed safety Tebucky Jones and linebacker Barry Gardner on IR, and moved FB Patrick Pass to the PUP list. The Patriots also added receiver Doug Gabriel via trade.

Foxborough - The New England Patriots added a pair of linebackers to the team yesterday. Veteran free agents Barry Gardner (Jets) and Jeremy Loyd (Rams) became the team's latest foray into free agency on the defensive side of the ball. Both Gardner and Loyd are experienced players with knowledge of how to play at the inside position.
