I'm not going to scream the sky is falling yet, but if I have nothing to panic about then I'm not happy. The reason for my distress is the black cloud that seems to be hanging over the Steelers offensive line through the early part of training camp. It started even before camp when guard Kendall Simmons was diagnosed with diabetes. It continued when center Jeff Hartings had his knee flair up, the same one that caused him to miss five games last year.

<b>LATROBE -</b> The Steelers unveiled a new weapon at their morning practice Monday as the second week of training camp kicked off. First-round draft pick Troy Polamalu replaced Chris Hope as one of the safeties in the dime defense, joining Brent Alexander as one of the deep men.

Josh Miller admitted at minicamp he was eagerly awaiting the new season after missing the final month of the 2002-03 season with a shoulder injury. But another injury will knock the Steelers' punter out of the first two weeks of training camp.
