Six players were released and four others were not tendered offers, allowing all of the players to become Unrestricted free agents on Wednesday. TE Stephen Alexander, RB Antoineo Harris, DE Raylee Johnson, T Vaughn Parker, C Cory Raymer and DE Marcellus Wiley were released while G Michael Keathley, WR Tim Baker, WR Dondre Gilliam and G David Brandt were not tendered offers. Johnson and Parker requested to be released and the team obliged.

When was the last time there was a real bidding war on an undrafted free agent? It does not happen often. After the 2003 NFL Draft, two teams, the San Diego Chargers and Cleveland Browns got into it over a player that hasn't played football in four years. Most undrafted free agents get little in the terms of actual money or roster bonuses, but not Antonio Gates. And this year he proved he was a bargain.

The one noticeable difference between Sunday's game between the San Diego Chargers and Cleveland Browns was the emotion and energy the Bolts had on the sidelines, in the huddle and after each play. They were genuinely excited to be playing football and it is a far cry from the comatose response of the five previous games.
