Bucs Play Sloppy as Cuts Loom

Raymond James Stadium was rocking hours before game time, and the electricity transferred to the players on the field. The Bucs were noticeably pumped up when they took the field Saturday night, but the extra emotion led to sloppy play that has left some hopefuls with little chance of making the team.

Wide Receiver Race Heads Down The Stretch

<A HREF=[PlayerNode:791947]>Charles Lee</A>'s ability to stretch the field makes him the man to beat on the bottom half of the wide receiver depth chart. The last week of two-a-days showed that Lee plays even bigger than his 6'3", 227 measurements would indicate by repeatedly going up over defensive backs to make spectacular catches.

Injuries and Updates from Training Camp

<A HREF=[PlayerNode:792092]>Warren Sapp</A> is expected to return to the practice field Wednesday after the swelling in his knee has diminished considerably. Coach Jon Gruden may continue to hold Warren out another day just as a precautionary measure. <A HREF=[PlayerNode:789394]>Ronde Barber</A> is also slowly working his surgically repaired knee back into playing shape but is still only participating in one of the two currently scheduled Buccaneer practices.
