The Big Ten has six Conference student-athletes that were named to the 2004 Walter Camp Player of the Year watch list last week, including Minnesota running back Marion Barber III. The Big Ten's total of six honorees ranked third among all leagues behind only the Big 12 (10) and SEC (7).

His mother calls him Jermelle. But his teammates call him 'Skills', as in, 'He's got skills'. Either way, it's OK for Jermelle Lewis. As he enters his final year on Iowa's campus, Lewis seems poised to finally step in and star as Iowa's starting tailback. His journey to this point has been full of setbacks. Some of those were in his control, others were not. Either way, Lewis has always had amazing abilities and Iowa's coaches have waited patiently to see them on display. Now is his time.

Considering how many injuries there are in college football, there is a pretty strong likelihood that a starter or two is going to get hurt this season for the Hawkeyes. There isn't much you can do about it. It happens to every team almost every year. So, my question is: Who could Iowa <i>least</i> afford to lose?
