CORAL GABLES – The Miami Hurricanes held their first spring scrimmage earlier today completing their first week of spring practice.
Brian Monroe is back for his third season as the team's punter after a successful 2004 campaign. A year ago at this time he was concentrating on his consistency and his drop, but now he has other areas of his game he is working on.
Last year the Hurricanes strived in certain areas of special teams including a strong kicking game and boasting one of the top return teams in the country. The majority of the players that had large roles on special are back this year besides long snapper Chris Harvey who has graduated.
