Iowa State's Terrance Highsmith is returning to the spot he's most comfortable this spring. The former JUCO transfer quarterback from Fort Scott (Kan.) is moving back after giving wide receiver a shot last season. Highsmith spoke on the change after the Cyclones concluded their opening day of spring ball Wednesday.

Iowa State's newest commitment for the Class of 2004 will have traveled the longest to get to Ames. He'll also say it was well worth the trip. After finding himself the odd man out of a quarterback derby won by Darian Durant at North Carolina, Terrance Highsmith knew if he was going to play college football it would have to be at another school.
From the time he traveled from the University of North Carolina to Fort Scott Community College in Kansas, Terrance Highsmith has said he wanted to play for the Cyclones. After a recent phone conversation with Iowa State head coach Dan McCarney and some members of his coaching staff, Highsmith will be getting that wish.
