With no first round pick thanks to Ricky Williams sensational season, the Dolphins looked to fill in the missing pieces starting in round two as Dave Wannstedt needs a big year to save his job. Offensive line was a priority as was linebacker.

Scouting Report: Byron Hardmon

Played middle linebacker as a senior starting thirteen games and leading Florida in tackles with 168, placing him fourth in the nation. Junior totals were 42 tackles with 2 pass breakups when he started nine of eleven games at strong side linebacker. Split starting duties as a sophomore and posted 44 tackles.

How will the Gator football program, one of the most successful in the nation for more than a decade, respond now that Steve Spurrier has moved on to the NFL? Will they continue to offer hordes of talented receivers as in the past? Or is there going to be more of a defensive theme from the players coming out of Gainesville?
