Q&A with former 'Nole

Final Hurrah

The Florida State Seminoles formally accepted their bid on Tuesday to play West Virignia in the Gator Bowl on Jan. 1 in Jacksonville. Senior receiver <b>Dominic Robinson</b> says the matchup gives returning Seminole players an opportunity to gain needed momentum heading into the offseason. FSU last appeared in the 2002 Gator Bowl, beating Virignia Tech 30-17.

Florida State's <B>Dominic Robinson </b> will start at the flanker position, Saturday, instead of Craphonso Thorpe, who is suspended for one-game for failing to meet academic standards. <B>Chris Davis </b> will cover flanker in three-wide, while Robinson will remain in the slot position. Last season, Robinson started in place of Thorpe when he went down with a broken leg against NC State and was unavailable for the final two games.

Florida State has won six consecutive games for the first time since the 2000 regular-season following Saturday's victory at Wake Forest. The Seminoles remained ranked fifth in the AP and coaches' polls on Sunday, keeping them in the national title hunt. Senior receiver <b>Dominic Robinson,</b> a hero against the Demon Deacons, was relieved to arrive back in Tally on Sunday with a victory.

Fire and Brimstone

Syracuse made it difficult on Saturday for the Florida State Seminoles and quarterback Wyatt Sexton, who was making his first road start. Sexton was 15-for-26 for 169 yards but maintained his poise in the face of a raucous Carrier Dome crowd of just over 40,000. Still, coach Bobby Bowden was not happy with his team's first-half performance and, in a fiery halftime speech, made his feelings known. Up Close

<B>Dominic Robinson </b> entered this season with plenty of expectations following a solid spring. However, a hamstring injury suffered in preseason drills hampered Robinson's production and confidence. Following a poor performance against Miami, including a key drop, many wondered if Robinson would be a key contributor this season. Of course, Robinson finished the regular-season strongly, saving his best performance for last against Florida. Now D-Rob is looking forward to the rematch vs. UM.
