The Florida State Seminoles formally accepted their bid on Tuesday to play West Virignia in the Gator Bowl on Jan. 1 in Jacksonville. Senior receiver <b>Dominic Robinson</b> says the matchup gives returning Seminole players an opportunity to gain needed momentum heading into the offseason. FSU last appeared in the 2002 Gator Bowl, beating Virignia Tech 30-17.

Florida State's <B>Dominic Robinson </b> will start at the flanker position, Saturday, instead of Craphonso Thorpe, who is suspended for one-game for failing to meet academic standards. <B>Chris Davis </b> will cover flanker in three-wide, while Robinson will remain in the slot position. Last season, Robinson started in place of Thorpe when he went down with a broken leg against NC State and was unavailable for the final two games.

Syracuse made it difficult on Saturday for the Florida State Seminoles and quarterback Wyatt Sexton, who was making his first road start. Sexton was 15-for-26 for 169 yards but maintained his poise in the face of a raucous Carrier Dome crowd of just over 40,000. Still, coach Bobby Bowden was not happy with his team's first-half performance and, in a fiery halftime speech, made his feelings known. <B>Dominic Robinson </b> entered this season with plenty of expectations following a solid spring. However, a hamstring injury suffered in preseason drills hampered Robinson's production and confidence. Following a poor performance against Miami, including a key drop, many wondered if Robinson would be a key contributor this season. Of course, Robinson finished the regular-season strongly, saving his best performance for last against Florida. Now D-Rob is looking forward to the rematch vs. UM.
