Tough Time for Toledo

While the Dolphins continue to look for answers on their offensive line, there's one guy who badly wishes he could be in there competing for a job and maybe even a starting role. But that's not in the cards right now for Joe Toledo, who can do little but try to learn as much as he can as he continues to rehab his injured foot.

Toledo Works With First Team

While first-round pick Jason Allen continues to miss practice as his contract situation remains unsolved, two other Dolphins draft choices continue to impress. One is wide receiver Derek Hagan, who has made a lot of nice catches so far in training camp. The other is guard/tackle Joe Toledo, who worked with the first-team offensive line on Thursday.

It's Apple Cup week and the media frenzy along Montlake is at a fever pitch. Pundits from around the state, on message boards and the local newscasts are waxing poetic on what some outside the Evergreen State may think has turned out to be a ho-hum contest between the Washington Huskies and Washington State Cougars at Husky Stadium on Saturday.

Players bask in winning glow

While it's certainly debateable whether or not the Washington Huskies caught the Arizona Wildcats napping, there's no questioning what a win has done to the excitement level of Washington football. And that goes double for the players, who were dying a slow death as each week came and passed without a win. Now that the 14-game conference losing streak is toast, they can set their sights on bigger game - namely the Washington State Cougars.
