Steelers cut quarterback Troy Smith

The Pittsburgh Steelers cut former Heisman Trophy winning quarterback Troy Smith today, a transaction that doesn't have much of an impact on their roster. Smith was signed to a reserve/future contract by the Steelers in January. The former Ohio State star was out of the NFL last season, playing for the Omaha Nighthawks in the United Football League.
