For months speculation has raged about whether or not Chris Dunn would rejoin the Arizona basketball team after being ruled academically ineligible. Dunn enrolled at Pima Community College in hopes of returning for the spring semester, but now it seems as if that move will prove to be moot.

It will take a lot of work in the classroom, but there is a chance that Chris Dunn could return to Arizona as early as January. Dunn has decided to try and get academically eligible at Pima Community College instead of playing at Cochise College. Dunn would have to make up a lot of ground academically, but it is not an impossibility that Dunn could be back in a Wildcat uniform by the end of the semester.

6-7 redshirt sophomore forward Chris Dunn has decided to transfer from Arizona to Cochise (AZ) CC. The move was reportedly academic related. He would be able to resign wuth the Wildcats after receiving his two-year degree. The loss of Dunn leaves Arizona with just eight scholarship players.

The Wildcat basketball team was dealt a huge blow when it was announced today that redshirt freshman Chris Dunn has left school and will no longer compete for the Arizona basketball program. His departure leaves Arizona with just three post players on scholarship.

Arizona's long been known as a school that is capable of producing NBA caliber point guards. Next year's talent levels at all positions, however, may solidify Arizona as "NBA-U", not only as "Point Guard-U." Next year's team will be so stacked with talent that it seriously may have future NBA players at every starting position.
