Feeling Better

Bobby Meeks has tried numerous remedies to help combat his continuing battle with asthma. Fingers are crossed his latest medication provides needed relief. Of course, all eyes will be on FSU's offensive line in Saturday's season opener at North Carolina. FSU offensive coordinator Jeff Bowden wants to think his young line has been battle tested by a fast and furious 'Noles defense. "I don't think a defense is going to put more speed on the field than what we've seen in practice."

Work Force

Florida State's summer goal is no different than past teams -- to be physically prepared for the start of practice in August. The similarities end there. The Seminoles enter the 2003 season looking to end a two-year drought by program standards. While attendance for workouts continues to be a topic, it should not be a concern. Numbers mean little if players have different agendas. "He (Bowden) was right -- we really didn't have good team chemistry," Bobby Meeks said of last season.
