Patriots Insider spoke with California defensive back Harrison Smith to get his thoughts on the Draft. Having worked out with fellow defensive back Donnie McCleskey in a private workout for the Patriots, Smith just hopes for a shot at the next level. Smith is still on the board as a potential Day Two pick for the 2006 NFL Draft.

But while Cal fans wait for a return to the defensive dominance of the late nineties "Hit Squad" teams, the current state of the Bear defense is nothing if not in flux.

<p class=txt>The odds are not in Cal's favor this week when the Golden Bears travel to the Pacific NW to combat the Huskies. Washington has won 17 consecutive home games since they lost to ASU in 1999. In addition, they enjoy a 26 year UNBEATEN streak against the University of California. In fact, Washington has experienced 25 consecutive non-losing seasons. </p>
