For the first time in the franchise's history, the Amsterdam Admirals are the champions of the NFL Europe League. The Admirals beat the Berlin Thunder, 27-21, in World Bowl XIII. The game was much closer down the stretch than a totally dominant Admiral first half would have anyone expecting.

Another NFLEL season is just about in the books, as many players head back to America and the teams that allocated them. Those players will begin preparation for training camps in late July. Those who play for the Berlin Thunder and Amsterdam Admirals will stay to fight it out in World Bowl XIII to see who will be crowned the NFLEL's 2005 champions.
