Patriots Land John Lynch

FOXBORO, Mass. -- Multiple media outlets are reporting that free agent safety John Lynch has agreed to join the New England Patriots. Lynch visited with the Patriots earlier this week and took a team physical. His addition to the roster alleviates the void left when Tank Williams was placed on the reserve/ injured list.

FOXBORO, Mass. -- The New England Patriots announced two roster moves today; safety Tank Williams was placed on the reserve/injured list and free agent defensive back Jeff Shoate was signed to the roster. Terms of Shoate's deal were not available.
