What's the best month for sports? September features baseball's pennant races coinciding with the start of football season. An old friend of mine once said April topped them all, with The Masters, the Final Four and baseball's Opening Day. A healthy debate to be sure.

One of the greatest attractions in recent years on The Farm may ironically be the answer to your searches. Josh Childress is back in the Bay Area, running and taking a very active role in his second annual basketball camp - right up the road in San Carlos.

Josh Childress: Year in Review

The performances by Stanford alumni in the NBA are as critical as those by the Cardinal collegians in forming the reputation of the Stanford Basketball program. The newest Card in the NBA this year was rookie Josh Childress. The sixth pick in last June's draft finished the year ranked sixth among NBA rookies in scoring, though it was not all smooth sailing in Childress' first pro season.

When Josh Childress first announced that he was entering the 2004 NBA Draft, some fans wondered if he was making the right move. After missing the entire preseason with a foot injury, and then three more weeks out of the starting lineup, did he show enough this year to give himself what he deserved in the Draft?
