TWISH: Stanford claims two on the road

The ability to win on the road separates teams into two categories: The Beatles and The Monkeys. Until further notice, the 2011 Stanford men's basketball team is the one that washed up on Nick at Nite reruns. The Cardinal has won just two of nine games played either on the road or at a neutral site.

MD Designs Win P.I.T. Third Place Game

MD Designs rallied from an early double digit lead to defeat Naval Shipyard 86-80 to win the third place game of the Portsmouth Invitational. MD Designs made 16 of 30 three-pointers, including nine of 14 from beyond the arc in the second half.

MD Designs Wins 79-74 in P.I.T.

Valparaiso center Mohamed Kone had 15 points and grabbed twelve rebounds to lead MD Designs to a 79-75 win in the quarterfinals of the Portsmouth Inivtational. He made six of ten shots from the field and all three free throws. MD Designs advanced to the semifinals against Holiday Inn Portsmouth.

He was one of the very few Cardinalmaniacs in the stands Friday night for the season-ending game for Stanford Basketball at Missouri State. Tuesday night's 65-49 win was an uplifting performance. Stanford had perhaps their most complete game of offense and defense this year, with contributions up and down the roster.
