Jeff Duncan and six; Peter Ciofrone four

Andy Ashby had another success and Greg Sain hit a grand slam. Jeff Duncan reached base SIX times. Chris Kolkhorst notches four hits and is tearing the Cal League up. Peter Ciofrone knocked in four, including the game winner of game two. Ben Krosschell had by far his best outing of the year but gets no rewards for his efforts. Look out for Javis Diaz who has become an extra base machine.

Ben Johnson returned to the lineup with a bang. Cesar Carrillo looks just fine in the Southern League – just fine. Jeff Duncan makes his debut with Mobile and the Padres' system. Chris Steinborn was back on the mound a day after starting? Brent Carter had another dominant outing but the bullpen blew it. Kyle Blanks triples but is still slumping.
