Minnesota-Florida State BB Preview

The Minnesota Golden Gophers (2-2) return home after finishing fourth in the Great Alaska Shootout to face Florida State in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge. The game will be televised on ESPN2. The Gophers begin a stretch of 10 of the next 11 games at home. The Seminoles are 2-3 record, losing both games at the Corpus Christi Caller-Times Tournament this past weekend. They lost to Kent State, 69-59 on Friday and 71-70 to TCU on Saturday.

Feeling At Home

<b>Diego Romero </b> hasn't traveled the typcial path to play college basketball. He's had to overcome a language barrier, a different style of play, and a tumultuous first season with Florida State. That's why it's difficult for Romero to hide his excitement about this season.

Alexander Johnson inks with Florida State

6-10 power forward/center Alexander Johnson of Bridgton (ME) Bridgton Academy will play for Florida State next season. He was one of the top unsigned players left on the board. Johnson had signed with Georgia last season, but spend the past year in prep school. Johnson picked the Seminoles over Connecticut and Cincinnati. He averaged 25 points, 13 rebounds, six assists and five blocked shots for Bridgton this past season.
