My Dark Friend called and informed me that he wanted to talk about the effect of recent drafts. Not the lager kind either as he was referring to the NFL Draft. Offensive Line University, AKA the University of Iowa, has set very high standards for offensive linemen. In order to duplicate past successes, look for the Hawks to continue the position switches. He throws in some basketball recruiting info and a blast from the past in his report.

My Dark Friend called me while he was getting some windshield time on I-80. His CD player was blaring Willie Nelson's "On The Road Again" while he greeted me. After turning down the sound, he sipped a Diet Coke, maneuvered his big ride down the road and talked Iowa Football. At least he wasn't also eating in his SUV, which is really an ugly sight that I won't share.

Getting closer to the draft, here is our value board for all seven rounds. We have a total of 263 players on our board, 261 were selected in the 2002 draft.
