2003 Stanford Football Postseason Awards

The efforts and toil of the last 12 months should be lauded at this time for the 93 members of this Stanford Football team, and several have been publicly recognized recently with honors and awards. Please also extend your appreciation to those Cardinal student-athletes who have received All Pac-10 awards, team awards and conference All-Academic recognition.

Rock Bottom

There are not enough superlatives, nor enough expletives, to describe the wreckage of Saturday's 57-7 season finale loss to Notre Dame. The defense was ripped to shreds by the running of Julius Jones while the offense floundered through four quarters. It was a sad day intended to send off the seniors in style, but instead it will go down as an infamous milestone in a rocky year...

Preseason Camp Day #15

Wednesday was as uneventful as any practice(s) the day before a game, and that held true with the UC Davis scrimmage looming on Thursday. But there was still news that came out of camp, including a shift in quarterback repetitions, a return from injury for a pair of players... and the much anticipated revelation of five freshmen who will play Thursday and this fall.

Friday was the final double-day set of practices of the second week, and it was a dominating day for the linebackers. The first day of the second week gave us two practices in full pads, but more importantly gave Stanford a player back in action on defense. Another player moved from defense to offense to help out at fullback. Read on for all the changes, plus who is pulling ahead in the QB race.
