While this week is all about "March Madness" and postseason basketball for most of the collegiate and Cardinal sporting communities, it is also a hot time for the approaching NFL Draft. Scouts from all over the NFL descended upon The Farm yesterday to watch a number of seniors test and work out during Stanford's Pro Day. Though rain dampened the affair, some of the times turned a lot of heads.

No player on the Stanford roster has elicited as much fan obsession as Michael Craven. The #1 linebacker in America coming out of La Quinta High School five years ago, Craven came to The Farm with astronomical expectations. He should be filled with disappointment and regret, but the fifth-year senior instead talks about the maturity and growth he has gained, plus a chance to still finish his college career strong.

It is still a state of shock, as the Cardinal community tries to come to grips with a monumental fourth-quarter collapse in Saturday's 30-27 loss to UCLA. Up 21 points with eight minutes to go in the game, with the high-octane Bruin offense held in check to the tune of just three points, it was all right now. How does something so good turn so bad?

The Cardinal are an improving squad, and you had to be in Stanford Stadium on Saturday to see the outstanding work on offense, defense and special teams against the Sun Devils.
