Troy Brown's future with the 2007 Patriots will be decided today. Brown, the last remaining player on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list, must either be activated or placed on season-ending Injured reserve. The 15-year veteran may see his season and his career come to a close. If not, then it's the end of the season for someone.

Cornerback Dante Wesley mysteriously did not come out of the tunnel on Family Night at Soldier Field this past Sunday. Head coach Lovie Smith announced that Wesley simply was not in the team's future, and the organization was exploring other options. One of those options came to fruition Tuesday, as he was sent to the New England Patriots for a second-day selection in the 2008 NFL Draft.

Dante Wesley already lost one Super Bowl with Carolina back in 2003, so it was doubly tough on him to lose another one his first season with Chicago in 2006. Wesley spent some time with BearReport.com Editor in Chief John Crist at the annual Fan Convention this past weekend, and the veteran expressed some unhappiness concerning his playing time on defense.
