St. Louis (MO) Gateway Tech showed that a team is better than one player as they defeated Baton Rouge (LA) Capitol 44-36. Gateway Tech had a balanced attack, while Capitol was led by 6-8 power forward Brandon Bass, who is a likely McDonald's All-American. He finished with 20 points, 12 rebounds and five blocked shots in the loss. However, he was one of only four players to score for the Golden Lions.
