The Wildcats roster is filled with marginal college talent and this will be reflective next year as only a few Arizona seniors are selected in the NFL draft, most in the very late rounds.

The last day of two-a-days saw two distinctly different practices. In the morning session it was all defense, but the evening belonged to the offense. The offense concluded the final night at "Camp Rincon" with an impressive showing in goal line drills.

Today was the Wildcats' annual media day. Due to the new NCAA mandated practice limitations, media day occurred over a week into training camp. This gave Head Coach John Mackovic a chance to evaluate his troops before addressing the press.

Surprising Fleming key to the Cats

Steve Fleming was supposed to be an important part of the Wildcat offense. Now the junior's role is even more important. Fleming was supposed to battle redshirt freshman Matt Padron and a pair of junior college transfers for playing time at tight end, but both Tommy Briggs and Ray Gurley were ruled academically ineligible and Fleming is now the man.
