Training camp consisted of 80+ players on the San Diego Chargers roster. With game three in the books, the team must trim their roster down to 65 players and NFLE roster exemptions Luke Butkus, Seth Burford and Scott Pospisil get a stay of execution. Twelve players must go and Saturday in Houston was the final day to make an impression. Sunday the Chargers were off, but management was hard at work figuring out who the twelve are that must go.

The San Diego Chargers went to 0-2 with a 16-10 loss in front of 41,000+ fans at Qualcomm Stadium. Some play was bad to awful, while some play deserves praise. The jury remains in the deliberation room on yet other battles that are going on through training camp as we review the game tape…

During practice this week the San Diego Chargers put the "Seattle rule" in effect. The rule was in reference to sloppy play from a week ago that saw penalties and turnovers cost the Chargers badly. Too bad the players did not heed the warning. Penalties and costly turnovers again cost the Bolts in a 16-10 loss against Arizona in the preseason home opener at the Q.
