It's been a long season for former Duke standout DeMarcus Nelson. After going undrafted and then working himself into the starting lineup for the seaosn opener in Golden State, only to be later released, Nelson has now found his way back into the NBA.

Durham, N.C. – The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) named Duke senior captain DeMarcus Nelson to the 2008 State Farm Division I All-America third team on Saturday.

Three Blue Devils Make All-Conference Teams

Durham, N.C. – Senior guard DeMarcus Nelson was named to the All-ACC first team and the ACC All-Defensive team, while junior Greg Paulus was named to the All-ACC third team along with freshman Kyle Singler, who was also named to the ACC All-Freshman team in an announcement by the Atlantic Coast Conference on Monday.

Duke's Josh McRoberts earned Second Team All-ACC honors and All-Defensive Team, while DeMarcus Nelson took home Honorable Mention Recognition in both categories. Meanwhile Jon Scheyer was named to the All-Rookie team.
