Former CU Buffalo Marcus Hall signed a contract with the New York Knicks this week and will participate in the NBA team's summer league games. Former teammate Richard Roby signed a contract with New Jersey, earlier.
A dozen major awards were presented Tuesday night at the Coors Events Center as the University of Colorado honored its best at the eighth annual CUSPY Awards (CU Sports Performers of the Year). Jordon Dizon and Maria Grevsgaard took top honors as CU's male and female athletes of the year.
Colorado became the first 12 seed to beat a 5 seed in the Big 12 Tournament Thursday, and CU's trio of seniors survived to play at least one more game by defeating Baylor 91-84 in double overtime in Kansas City.
Marcus Hall saved his best for last. Hall's career-high 31 points led the Buffs past Iowa State 67-55 in the Buffs' final home game of the season Saturday.
On Saturday, Colorado continued its recent string of playing well early only to succumb to another team's second-half run. This time the Buffs fell to Kansas 72-59 at home.

Richard Roby earned a double-double and the Buffalo defense slowed Nebraska, sending the Cornhuskers home with a 55-51 loss Tuesday.

Tulsa came to Boulder one of the hottest mid-major teams in the country. Colorado couldn't cool off the Golden Hurricane, losing its final non-conference match-up 81-68 at the Coors Events Center.

Losing by double digits is one thing. Allowing a visiting team to come from behind and beat you on their final possession is another level of pain. It's one the Buffs experienced after falling to New Orleans 67-65 Wednesday night at Coors Event Center in Boulder.
