BERKELEY, Calif. - With Jon Brockman on the bench for much of the second half, Washington turned to other options to score. They got a perfect shooting night from Joe Wolfinger, who scored a career-high 17 points to lead the Huskies to an 87-84 win over California at Haas Pavilion Saturday.

Anderson uses Lopez playbook to beat UW

SEATTLE - Ryan Anderson didn't see Brook Lopez play against Washington, but apparently watched the film. The sophomore forward for Cal scored 33 points and the Bears made their free throws down the stretch to beat Washington 79-75 Saturday at Bank of America Arena. The back-to-back home losses put a major crimp into any plans the Huskies had of reaching a post-season tournament.

Vierneisel Commitment Interview

<p class=txt> As has been reported for the last few days, Cal's newest commitment for the 2004 recruiting class is Eric Vierneisel, a 6'7 190 lbs SF from Algonquin, Illinois (Harry D. Jacobs HS). Vierneisel committed to the Ben Braun and the University of California on Sunday afternoon, choosing the Bears over the University of Wisconsin.
