Charlie White decides to stay close to home

Charlie White, a 5-foot-10 point guard from Jackson (MIss.) Provine decided to stay close to home and will play for Jackson State. White, who was Mississippi's Mr. Basketball, averaged 15.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 4.0 steals per game as a senior, leading the Rams to a Class 4A state championship and a No. 1 ranking in The Clarion-Ledger poll for a second consecutive season.

Houston has no problem and commits to SEC school

6-8 forward Jerrell Houston of Memphis (TN) East has committed to a SEC school after recently attending their recent big-man camp. The talented, but thin forward had also received serious interest from schools like Texas, Cincinnati and Florida State.

Charles Rhodes and Charlie White updates

[Premium Article] Gene's Page recently caught up with Lanier High School's Charles Rhodes (6-8, 220) and Provine High School's Charlie White (5-11, 175), both of whom have committed to Mississippi State. Both members of the class of 2004, Charlie is a point guard and Charles is a forward.
