MIKE PRICE WILL rightfully be linked to Washington State legends when he is formally inducted into the WSU Athletic Hall of Fame during a dinner in Spokane on Friday. Price and six others, including one of Price's QBs in Jason Gesser, will also be recognized during the WSU-Idaho game on Saturday. WASHINGTON STATE's Luke Falk received about as high an endorsement Saturday as any quarterback can. Mike Price, the man who produced three of the greatest signal callers in Cougar history, "loves Luke Falk as a QB," WSU athletic director Bill Moos said today on his weekly radio show.

SCOUT.COM IS OUT this week with its top 100 list for April's NFL draft. WSU All-American safety Deone Bucannon is pegged at No. 74. That placement would find him going near the top of the third round. Scout ranks Bucannon the No. 4 safety behind HaHa Clinton-Dix of Alabama, Calvin Pryor of Louisville and Ahmad Dixon of Baylor.

HE WAS GREGARIOUS and quotable like Sweeney and Walden. And he did something even the great Hollingbery and immortal Dietz didn't: take the Washington State Cougars to two Rose Bowls. Even his departure was off-the-charts memorable, with airplane tail numbers at Pullman-Moscow Regional adding up to the end of an era.

SPOKANE – Mike Leach had plenty to say. So did Mike Price. Leach offered up a number of spring ball nuggets including naming some of the top performers – a list that included two walk ons. He was also effusive in his praise on the Football Operations Facility under construction, saying it will be second to none in the Pac-12. Meanwhile, Price was also on hand to help kick off Spokane Week 2013.
