Scouting the Big 12: Baylor

Since the retirement of Grant Teaff its' been a horrible situation in Waco as the Baylor Bears constantly suffer through two-or-three win campaigns. As one would expect the Baylor program has recently put minimal prospects into the NFL and though hopes are high for new coach Guy Morriss, the outlook remains bleak for draft-eligible Bears.

Bears Go Through 60-Play Scrimmage

Going into Spring – DEFENSIVE BACKS

Baylor has always lined up on defense with four defensive backs. This fall, however, things will be different. Now, there will be two outside safeties, a free safety, and two corners in Baylor's 4-2-5 defensive scheme. The new secondary is a mix and match of defensive backs and linebackers who fit the criteria of having speed and are able to hit. Gone is Bobby Hart, who led the secondary in interceptions. He was dismissed from the team soon after Coach Morriss arrived. Here's what remains . . .
