Reffett Named Flaherty Winner

SEATTLE – Husky junior defensive tackle Jordan Reffett took top honors at the Washington football team's annual awards banquet when he was named the winner of the Guy Flaherty Most Inspirational Award. The annual banquet was held Monday evening at the Westin Hotel in downtown Seattle.

Washington vs Fresno State By-the-Numbers

The Washington football team (1-1) returns to Husky Stadium for the first of two straight home games and the final non-conference game of the 2006 schedule when Fresno State (1-1) visits for a 3:30 p.m. PDT game this Saturday, Sept. 16. Washington is coming off of a 37-20 loss last weekend at Oklahoma while the Bulldogs fell to Oregon, 31-24, last Saturday.

Huskies fall to Sooners on the road

The Huskies have struggled on the road of late, losing 12 of their last 13 away from Husky Stadium and many thought that going to Oklahoma to face the Sooners would continue that streak. However, Washington came out strong early in Norman and they raised a few eyebrows of those in the press box.
