Grudzielanek gets minor deal

The Indians signed veteran infielder Mark Grudzielanek to a free agent minor league contract with a non-roster invitation to their major-league spring training camp. The former NL all-star and AL gold glove winner has not played in the majors since 2008 with Kansas City. He played 11 games in the Minnesota Twins' farm system in 2009 after recovering from an ankle injury and sore right elbow.

July Review: New Britain Rock Cats

New Britain struggled through the month of July, putting together an 11-18 record, as they got just could not get all their starters on track at the same time. They did get some great efforts from some prospects, as they look to gain some ground in August.
