Rollins finds right mix

When asked what his toughest final would be this week, Hakeem Rollins said 'Chemistry'. Funny thing about chemistry. He may struggle with it in the classroom, but the 6-8 JC transfer has found the perfect blend of ingredients on the basketball court, giving his elements of rebounding and strong inside play to a Washington Huskies team in dire need of big men. Chemistry - at least in the basketball sense - has been one of Hakeem's best subjects.

With the Ike Diogus and the Channing Fryes running around and dominating the posts of the Pac-10, Washington head coach Lorenzo Romar knew that he needed to find somebody who was willing to go toe-to-toe with the two big men from the state of Arizona. He found that person in the same state in Hakeem Rollins at Mesa Junior College.

6-8 Hakeem Rollins to make decision this weekend

Six-foot-8 forward Hakeem Rollins of Mesa (Ariz.) CC will make his college decision between Minnesota and Washington this weekend. The honorable mention JC All-American made a visit to the Minnesota campus this past weekend along with his parents. He was expected to visit Connecticut this weekend, but he cancelled his visit. He had previously visited Southern Illinois and Cal Santa Barbara.
