Its going to be a challenge - Northwestern Wildcats travel to the "shoe" to take on the conference leading OSU Buckeyes. The Cats coaches aren't going to reveal their hand until kickoff, but outside of a few dings, NU appears to be mostly healthy for the Big 10 Opener - the injuries are mainly to their Pride.

Almost hidden in the stories about last week is the fact that one of our injured linebackers came back to have a pretty decent day in a losing cause. Outside Linebacker Eddie Simpson returned to the starting lineup and did a pretty decent job filling the shoes of the injured Nick Roach....

The State of Texas, which produces more Division I signees than any other state, will send split all star squads against two border states this weekend. The 66th annual Oil Bowl game, which pits the Lone Star school boys against their counterparts from Oklahoma, will take place in Wichita Falls, while the Greater Houston Coaches Association takes on Louisiana in the inaugural Bayou Bowl in Baytown.
