Like a lot of minor league players this time of year, Matt Craig is looking for a job for next season. Ideally he'd like to stay with the Cubs, the organization he's been a part of the last six-plus years, but understands the reality of the situation.

According to Major League Baseball, a total of 18 minor league players have been suspended for violating Major League Baseball's Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program this year. Those 18 players, 17 of which have been suspended since the start of minor league play in early April alone, hail from 15 different major league organizations.

Until just recently, Matt Craig had been at the Double-A or Class High-A level of the Cubs farm system in every year but one (his professional debut season) since being selected in the third round of the 2002 draft from the University of Richmond. That changed earlier this week when the 26-year-old infielder joined Triple-A Iowa.
