Four players from Class-A Daytona are set to join Double-A Tennessee, while four are en route to the Florida State League from Class Low-A Peoria and/or Boise. One more from Tennessee heads to Triple-A Iowa, and Class-A Peoria welcomes three new faces and one familiar one.

New Stance Has Rick Coming Around

It's been somewhat of a tough stretch for Class-A Daytona catcher Alan Rick since 2005 began. The former fourth-round pick in 2002 struggled through his worst professional season a year ago at Peoria and got off to an equally slow start in the Florida State League this season. But with more playing time of late and the help of a former major league all-star, Rick is showing signs of improvement.

Rick Not Worried About Slow Start

PEORIA, Ill. - Catcher Alan Rick is off to the slowest start of his semi-brief minor league career, batting .165 through his first 35 games at Class-A Peoria. While he acknowledges things could be better, Rick also knows that dwelling on any of the negatives won't help him improve any time soon.
