Jaxx Notes: Greenberg in Early Slump

Through their first six games, the Cubs Double-A affiliate has a combined staff ERA of 1.31 with a league low 31 hits and 11 walks allowed. Lost in the shadow of the team's strong pitching and 5-1 record has been the slow start of a few of its hitters, like Adam Greenberg.

Greenberg Back with Diamond Jaxx

JACKSON, Tenn. -- West Tenn outfielder Adam Greenberg thought the next time his name would appear in a box score, it would be with the Arizona League Mesa Cubs. Instead, Greenberg got the go-ahead earlier this week to return to Double-A, where he had played 74 games before being promoted to Chicago earlier this month.

Greenberg to Begin Stint with Mesa Cubs

MESA, Ariz. -- It has been over two weeks since Adam Greenberg made his major league debut, and thus over two weeks since he was hit in the head by a pitch from Florida's Victor de los Santos in his first big league plate appearance. Now, the 24-year-old Greenberg is set to begin a rehab assignment in the Arizona League with the Cubs' rookie affiliate this week.
