Year two of this franchise sees a competitive young Texan team building yet a squad with lots of holes. There were many areas Houston could've looked throughout the seven rounds but just like last year, the early part of the draft had an offensive theme.

By all accounts, Missouri's consistently weak area last fall was its defense. The Tigers tweaked the alignments a bit and introduced a dozen new faces to this unit. Tiger fans may not know what to expect from this group this fall, but there will certainly be more depth and more speed at almost every position. Getting closer to the draft, here is our value board for all seven rounds. Extra players have been added in the middle and late rounds in anticipation of compensatory selections, as well as two/three fence prospects in the early frames. We have a total of 263 players on our board, 261 were selected in the 2002 draft.

Though this year's group of defensive ends are deficient stopping the run, one thing's for sure - the players at the top excel at rushing the passer, and that will bring a smile to the face of many general managers. Four are projected for the first round with another pair knocking on the door.
