Afternoon Session: Enthusiasm

The San Diego Chargers began their second practice of the day with much more enthusiasm and intensity that this morning. The temp at the start of practice was only about 82* with a slight brees again. The coaches were very busy teaching the intricacies of football on every single play. This meant stopping in the middle of a play to break down each man's assignment or repeating entire plays if anyone got out of position.

Black could have been something

Avion Black is now a Houston Texan. The Bills never got close to utilizing Black's speed. He could have been an excellent kick returner. In fact, against the Saints on opening day last season, he ran a punt back 34 yards. Unfortunately, he had one man to beat – the punter, who ended up tackling him. Still, it was among the best drive starts the Bills had on offense all season.

The road to the NFL for Arkansas draft hopefuls goes through Mobile, Alabama this week. Jermaine Petty, Carlos Hall and Shannon Money are in Alabama practicing with the South squad for Saturday's game.

Rhema McKnight, 6-3, 195 pound wide receiver from La Palma (Calif.) Kennedy has just one visit left and then it's decision time. As of now, two schools are running neck and neck for the top wide out on the West Coast.
